When one tiny piece causes a big problem
What happens when you lose the little thingymajiggy from your hoover, and it suddenly starts scratching your floors in all sorts of unpleasant ways?

But how do you replace something that’s missing? One option is to contact the manufacturer. Sometimes they’ll sell you a replacement part, but if your appliance is no longer in production, that isn’t always possible.
So what do you do instead?
Simple. You get someone to 3D print it.
I recently came across a company that does exactly that, and I genuinely can’t recommend them enough.

Just look at this tiny little piece I managed to lose! How on earth do you replace something like that?
The hoover itself worked perfectly well, but because it had long since been discontinued, finding a spare parts for the hoover seemed impossible.
Then I had an idea.

From idea to reality
A few days later, they confirmed they’d received the part and assured me it would be no problem to recreate it.
Not long after that, my replacement was ready. They created a personalised Etsy listing for me to purchase it, then posted both the newly printed part and my original piece back together.
When it arrived, I honestly couldn’t believe how good it looked. Like Cinderella’s slipper, it was a perfect fit.
The hoover was back in action, my floors were safe from scratches again, and I avoided replacing an appliance that was otherwise working perfectly.
That’s definitely a double win in my book.
